THE STABLE SHIFT ALGORITHM with Tom Woodcock
A new procedure for deciding when and how to re-establish the control limits on SPC charts
Tom Woodcock has pioneered a data-driven method for helping us decide when it’s appropriate to re-establish the upper and lower limits on a control chart. He was the lead author of an article in Quality and Safety BMJ earlier this year which set out the method.
In this AphA Scotland meeting, Tom will talk us through the stable shift algorithm, using some real-life NHS examples. And as well as showing us the algorithm itself, Tom will also talk us through the R package {autospc}, which can be used to implement the stable shift algorithm.
