Our Aims
In Wales, the AphA branch connects with a local collaborative called the NHS Wales Modelling Collaborative (WMC). The WMC focusses on building connections between analysts and between analysts and decision-makers. This helps develop technical skill, provide advice, and develop links that produce useful outputs to change decisions in Wales. The WMC can be contacted at wmc@wales.nhs.uk.
In AphA Wales our aims are to share and learn more broadly than within Wales, allowing access to a community across the UK. Analysts who are a part of the AphA Wales branch can access AphA resources, WMC offers as well as some offers specific to AphA Wales members. Due to the connection with the WMC, AphA Wales sessions often focus on career progression and discussion, rather than technical skills building.
